Each of the shirts in this collection is named for a historic hub of the American textile industry. With this, we honor and sustain the legacy of our rich fabric and clothing traditions.
Nicknamed the “Thread City,” Willimantic was once the beating heart of American thread production. At its peak, the sprawling Willimantic Linen Company mill complex—powered by the rushing waters of the Willimantic River—spun countless miles of thread that stitched together garments across the country. With its iconic stone mill buildings and the nearby Victorian streetscapes, Willimantic carries echoes of industry woven into a picturesque New England setting.
